Group Water Schemes – Water Conservation
Clare County Council Rural Water Programme would like to request that all members of Group Water Schemes throughout County Clare ensure that they continue water conservation measures during the current extended spell of dry weather and in particular due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic and the necessity for regular hand washing.
Water users are encouraged to check for any leaks on their properties and for commercial and agricultural users that they ensure there is no leakage present on their private supplies.
Simple steps like taking a short shower instead of a bath, turning off taps and fixing leaks in outside taps or farm troughs all help to make a difference. Any measures taken to reduce consumption, no matter how small, will help in terms of replenishing water supplies.
